Your Checklist for the 6th Annual OSU 4-Miler

We’re halfway through Buckeye Football Season which means the 6th Annual Ohio State 4-Miler is right around the corner—taking place on Sunday, October 28 at 10am.

The largest four mile race in the United States, with 15,000 participants, offers exclusive incentives to entice Buckeye fans young and old: the opportunity to enter The Shoe, finish on the 50, and receive a finisher’s medal that any Buckeye would be proud to display, among other exciting details for the event.

The Ohio State 4-Miler provides a fun event for both walkers and runners. This annual celebration of football and fitness also donates a portion of the proceeds to The Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research, a fund dedicated to advancing cancer research at Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center — Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard Solove Research Institute. Be sure to explore all the fun activities at the event, especially the following “must dos” at the race.

1. High-Five a Buckeye

Many Buckeye legends will be participating in the race with you, and will be cheering you across the finish line. Buckeyes scheduled to be in attendance include Brutus Buckeye, Jake Ballard, Zach Boren, Bobby Carpenter, Terence Dials, Craig Krenzel, Shelley Meyer, Ryan Miller, Lauren Shenk Miller, Scoonie Penn, Anthony Schlegel, JJ Sullinger, William White, and Justin Zwick. Don’t forget to high-five your favorite idol as you cross the finish line.

2. Visit the Post-Race Tailgate

Buckeyes know how to throw a tailgate party and the OSU 4-Miler will be throwing an epic tailgate in the Southwest parking lot immediately after the race, from 11:00am-1:00pm. The tailgate will include vendor booths with plenty of food and fun, as well as music.

3. Stop by the Trinity Homes Booth

Trinity Homes will be at the tailgate with our friends, HER Realtors. Stop by our booth and enter the Great Home Giveaway for a chance to win a new Trinity home valued at $250,000 or a Buckeye fan-cave basement.

October is always a beautiful time of year in Ohio. What better way to spend a Sunday morning in October than a nice stroll—or run—through campus with 14,999 of your best Buckeye friends! We look forward to seeing you on October 28th as you #FinishOn50!
