One of the best ways to embrace the beauty of Autumn is by simply hitting the trails for a hike. Immerse yourself in nature by visiting one of the gorgeous Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks. The 20 Metro Parks provide endless opportunities to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors - including more than 28,000 acres and 230 miles of trails!
There is a little something for everyone in the fall as many professional and college sports are in full swing with a game or match happening every weekend. Of course, in Columbus, fall isn’t fall without the The Ohio State Buckeyes football games, but don’t forget the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Clippers, and Columbus Crew are all in action too.
Although it may be obvious, no fall activity list is complete without pumpkin and apple picking. Check out Apple Hill Orchards in either of their locations in Mansfield (Monday – Saturday: 8am – 6pm | Sunday: 10am – 6pm) or Fredericktown (Monday: Closed | Tuesday – Saturday: 9am – 5pm | Sunday: 12pm – 5pm) and enjoy their many attractions including: a fruit-themed bakery, a cider press, observation beehive, rich variety of apples and vegetables, boutique gifts, and farm animal petting zoo.
Central Ohio offers a world of opportunities for all ages to indulge in every sort of fall festivity. So, bring out your coziest flannel and enjoy!
