Justin Shear, Vice President of Sales, talks about the challenges encountered and successes achieved throughout 2021 and shares his insight into what he sees happening in 2022 and the years ahead for Trinity Homes.
The biggest challenge we faced in 2021 was simple, it was the most difficult building environment in modern history. The global pandemic brought about a labor and supply chain crisis that was crippling to our industry and many others. On a positive note, we had one of the greatest sales years in the company’s long history.
In 2022 I believe we will see more of the same, low inventory that will continue the high demand for housing, as well as continued challenges related to the supply chain and available labor. Another factor that needs to be considered is that all signs are pointing to the federal government raising interest rates in 2022. My advice is to buy now.
We are most excited to continue to grow as an organization. This pandemic has forced us to evaluate every element of our business and to make changes necessary to prepare for the future. As difficult as building has been, we hope to be a better company due to the grueling lessons we learned in these unprecedented times.
My goals this year are focused on serving our customers through extremely unpredictable times. In my opinion, it all starts with giving the best possible expectations we can, understanding that unforeseen challenges will inevitably arise. Communication with our customers and internally is key and it is my goal to improve in that area.
I hope to see Trinity Homes continuing to be a great example of a local company giving back to its community. I am confident we will continue to evolve and create beautiful homes and communities, but I am even more proud of the fact that we focus on giving back to our communities as one of the last remaining local home builders in this market.
