Sales Consultant Lyndsey Merckle has been with Trinity Homes for three years. In her time with the company, she has dedicated her efforts to help hundreds of families build their homes in some of the best neighborhoods in Central Ohio. Here are a few things you should know about her.
Q: Tell us about your job at Trinity Homes.
L:
As a sales consultant I am in charge of networking, marketing and generating leads. However, my main responsibility is taking care of my customers from start to finish and finding them the perfect house in the perfect community—we become best friends!
Q: What area of Columbus do you see as the hottest selling area?
L:
In my opinion, the hottest selling area is the North-end of town. It is a family-oriented area with great schools and there is everything from shopping, restaurants and entertainment, many within walking distance.
Q: Which communities are you currently selling?
L:
We can cross-sell in every community but I oversee
Cheshire Woods
and
Sanctuary at the Lakes
—we have two specs there that are almost ready to close. That’s one of the great things about working at Trinity Homes, we can go across town at any point in time and sell in other communities.
Q: What is, in your opinion, the perks of building with Trinity?
L:
I would have to say the
customization
—especially at the price point we sell. A lot of clients just want to tweak a few things but if needed, we can customize an entire house from ground zero and up. Most builders in the Columbus area simply don’t do that.
Q: What do you like best about working for Trinity Homes?
L:
I love that Trinity is a
family-owned business
and they are great at understanding that life happens—they’re not your typical corporate job. It’s also great that they are always trying to find what works for each of us; if someone is not excelling at something, they are more than willing to bend-over-backwards to help them—they always have our back.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
L:
I have a nine-year-old daughter and she has the majority of my time, but if we get to sneak away from the city, we have a boat docked at Lake Erie that we love taking out—it’s our love and passion. Besides that, I love spending time with my three French bulldogs.
Q: Do you have a favorite book?
L:
I don’t have a favorite book yet but I am currently reading Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely by Lysa TerKeurst—despite the title, it’s not at all a sad book and if it continues to keep my attention, I’ll continue reading it.
Q: If Trinity Homes were a TV Show, which character would you identify the most with?
L:
Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls. Besides being a single mom, she’s witty, corky—believe it or not, I am too—and she loves coffee, which unfortunately is a downfall of mine. Most importantly though, she runs a successful business and builds very strong relationships. Similarly, I strive to be successful at my job and the biggest part of what I do is building strong relationships.
Q: If you could have a conversation with anyone, who would it be?
L:
There are two people I would love to talk to. The first one is Joanna Gaines because she is successful, driven, overall phenomenal, and someone I definitely look up to—plus I’m hoping that a little bit of her design skills will rub off on me! The second one would be my grandfather. He passed away when I was younger and he was my best friend. He is someone I would sit next to on the porch and we just would talk for hours—I miss that.
