Trinity Talks: Meet Sales Consultant Scott Esker

Scott Esker, Sales Consultant, Trinity Homes

Sales Consultant, Scott Esker,  has been serving Trinity Homes’ customers for 17 years. He is an expert in helping people find the community and home of their dreams. Here’s what you should know about Scott.

Q: Tell us a bit about your job.

S: Most of the time I’m working with customers—whether it’s pricing homes or working with financing to get deals closed. We help everybody throughout the entire process—from contract to closing.

Q: What area of Columbus do you see as the hottest selling area?

S: I’m in Grove City and it’s been pretty busy down there but I’d say that Southern Delaware County is the hottest growing area. People tend to gravitate to that area because of Polaris, bigger business opportunities and the fact that Downtown is an easy freeway commute away. Fortunately, Trinity Homes has several communities in that area.

Q: Which Communities are you currently selling?

S: I sell in every Trinity Homes community around the Columbus metropolitan area. We currently have 35 subdivisions—with new ones coming all the time. Wherever the buyers are is where I go.

Q: What is, in your opinion, the perk of building with Trinity?

S: One of the biggest perks of building with Trinity is that we have a 35-year transferrable structural warranty—the longest warranty in the business right now. So, if someone were to sell the home that they have lived in for five years, the remaining 30 years of warranty would go to the new homeowner—covering everything that holds the house together structurally.

Another perk would be that we have the ability to customize homes. Most of the builders in town are tract builders; they allow you to do very few changes. We are technically a semi -custom production builder but we make some pretty impressive changes. Once we took two houses and made them one—the clients liked certain things from one plan and other things from another plan so we custom-made it into what they wanted—It worked out and they were very happy.

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

S: I moved to Columbus 22 years ago from Fremont, Ohio. I have three associate degrees from Terra State Community College and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I also served in the military for six years as a Combat Engineer Bridge Specialist for the Army’s National Guard.

Q: What is your favorite sport?

S: I really like NCAA Football and I root for the hometown favorite,  The Ohio State University.

Q: If Trinity Homes were a TV Show, which character would you identify the most with?

S: I would definitely be Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation. Just like him, I like the outdoors and I like steak.

Q: If you could have a conversation with anyone, who would it be?

S: My dad. He passed away so if I had the chance I would like to tell him how much I love him.
